When you need to know the news, read the Nulla-Noos

Hi Nulla's,

It's always hard sitting down to type the Nulla-Noos, because I'm always trying to come up with a new beginning, instead of the same old boring shit.

So let's start this issue with something that I hope will put a smile on your dial, and just for something different.

As a woman passes her daughter's closed bedroom door, she hears a strange buzzing noise coming from inside.

Opening the door, she is shocked to see her daughter giving herself a real workout with a vibrator.

Shocked, she asks, "What the hell are you doing ??"

The daughter replies, "Mum, I'm 35 years old, un-married, and this is about as close as I'm ever going to get to a husband. Please, just leave me alone and go away."

The next day, the girl's father walks passed the same closed bedroom, and hears the same buzzing noise, and he also opens the door to check it out.

When he does, he is confronted by his daughter going to work on herself with the vibrator, and he also is shocked into asking what was going on, to which she again replied …

"Dad, I'm 35 years old, unmarried and this is as close as I'm going to get to a real husband, so please, just go away and leave me alone"

A couple of days later, Mum comes home from a shopping trip and hears the noise again, but this time it's coming from the lounge room.

When she goes in to investigate, she finds her husband sitting on the lounge, drinking a beer and watching the footy on television.

The vibrator is sitting next to him on the lounge chair, buzzing wildly.

Angrily, she asks "What the hell are you doing with that ??"

To which he replies, "Gees, ease up woman, I'm just sitting on the lounge, having a beer and watching the footy with my future son-in-law"

Membership payments have been coming in nicely, and to those of you that have renewed, thank you.

To the rest of you that haven't paid your dues, this may be your last Nulla-Noos.

You are now out of membership and no longer part of the of the club, so you had better rectify that situation with your payment of dues real soon.

That sounds a bit harsh doesn't it, but it's the only fair thing to do for the other members that have paid already.

Like any club or organisation, we don't want to lose members, but it's a fact of life I suppose.

So please send your payments in soon if you wish to retain your membership with the club.

The October ride across the paddock to attend the National HOG Rally is getting closer, and departure date is still set for Saturday morning, October 20.

We had a couple of people go do with illness and their participation in the ride over is in doubt

Luigi has had his knee replacement, and his recovery is going well, but unless he can get full strength into the joint before we leave, it may not be wise for him to ride and take the chance of injuring it.

Bev has had a recurrence of her cancer, and I know that we wish her all the best with her treatment and obviously, depending on her health at the time of departure, she & Benny may decide on staying home also.

I for one hope that everybody is fit and healthy soon, and that we will have a good contingent of Nulla's on the ride over as it's always good time spent on the road.

On the good news front, I heard from Pop & Dianne the other day and they tell me that they are enjoying their travels around the countryside.

They rang from Tennant Creek and Pop said that they stayed the previous night at Wauchope.

For those of you that went on the 2001 "Round The Block " trip, I'm sure you'll remember the great night that was had at 'that' place, drinking port and telling stories until the wee hours of the morning.

I know Johno will remember the Wauchope Pub for many years to come, as will the rest of us …….. ha ha ha.

Pop & Di are heading north for Darwin and then plan to be back in Perth early in July, so hopefully we will get to hear of their travel stories soon after with a BBQ at their place …… and Yes Pop, that was a hint that we are waiting for an invite.

And some more good news is that Springer has sold his business at long last and is also joining the ranks of the pensioners in early November.

No doubt, he and Pop will have plenty of time on their hands then, and will be up to mischief together on a regular basis.

Good onya Springer, enjoy retirement, if Carol let's you …. ha ha ha.

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

Jim & Edna were both patients in a mental hospital.

One day, while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Jim suddenly jumped into the deep end and sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there.

Edna promptly jumped in to save him, swam to the bottom and pulled in out.

When the Head Nursing Director became aware of Edna's heroic act, she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered Edna to be of sound mind and mentally stable.

She went to tell Edna of her release, and said "Edna, there was good news, but also some bad news. The good news is that you are being discharged immediately, since you were able to act rationally and respond to the crisis by jumping to save Jim from drowning, so I have concluded that you are now mentally stable and do not need to remain a mental patient any longer.

However, the bad news is that Jim, the patient you so heroically saved, has hung himself in his bedroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him, and I sorry to inform you that he has died."

Edna replied, "He didn't hang himself, I hung him up to dry !! So when can I go home ??"

The Nullaboys catch-up dinner was held last night, with a total 23 Members and their partners attending the night.

The evening was held at an Italian Smorgasbord restaurant in Main Street, Osborne Park, and we had a great night.

As many of the patrons were of Italian heritage and celebrating birthdays, it gave the restaurant a bit of a "Family" feeling too it.

As we were spread over 2 tables, and the night wore on, we needed to do a bit of table swapping to catch up with each other for a chat, which made the night even more entertaining as people moved around.

The food was plentiful, very fresh and tasty, and I'm sure that no-one left feeling hungry at the end of the night.

Another great night out, and our thanks go to Luigi for tracking down another great restaurant once again.

Guess who's having a very important birthday next year ???

More will come to light on this important occasion soon, but for now, I'd like everybody to put a big circle in the diary for Saturday night March 29th next year.

I know it's a long way away, but this big, and you're not going to want to miss this one.

Everyone is invited, and I'll be really pissed off if you don't turn up, so circle the calendar now and make sure you don't double book it.

More details will arrive as the time gets closer.

Well, that's the end of Nulla-Noos for this edition.

For those of you who are yet to pay your dues, you'd better send them in now, otherwise you're membership will lapse and then you won't get the Noos no more.

And if you have any news that you wish to share, please pass it on and it'll give me something to add to the next edition of Nulla-Noos.

Until then, stay safe and well.
